Description
Course Description: This course is designed to show how to add item records within the Sierra database on the test server and to briefly demonstrate the use of item record templates. Please see the Sierra Test Server Access Instructions in the course files. The training username and password to access the Sierra Test Server will be emailed to you directly when you enroll in the Item Entry - Item Record course.

For this course, the student will need to submit the Sierra Tech Login Approval Form. This form shows supervisor’s approval to receive your named tech login permission. This is to ensure that only authorized library personnel have these permissions.

ALLOW A WEEK FOR ASSIGNMENTS TO BE REVIEWED AND GRADED.

Membership Level: Fully Participating, Basic Online & Union List library staff

Course Objectives: To practice matching skills and item entry.

Course tips:

Before starting the course, verify you can log in to the PrairieCat support site to access policies and procedures documentation. Library staff will use their L2 username and password to log in to the PrairieCat support site.

It is recommended to download/review associated files/documents prior to watching video.

This course is self-paced but please use the "Send message" function under "Messages" to contact the course instructor(s) if you have questions or need assistance.
