Item Entry - Practicum (TS007)


Description
Course Description: This course is for students that have completed the series of the Sierra Cataloging: Item Entry courses to demonstrate their knowledge of content presented to them.

Students are to submit scans of materials they have created item records for in the Sierra production server. Students are to send in five (5) submissions within initial 3-month review period and another five (5) submissions in the second 3-month review period.

ALLOW A WEEK FOR ASSIGNMENTS TO BE REVIEWED AND GRADED.

After successful completion of the Practicum course, a member will receive a certificate and be Item Entry Certified.

Membership Level: Fully Participating, Basic Online, & Union List library staff

Course Objectives: For students to demonstrate the knowledge of how to match and perform item entry.

Course tips:

Before starting the course, verify you can log in to the PrairieCat support site to access policies and procedures documentation. Library staff will use their L2 username and password to log in to the PrairieCat support site.
